Father, Your Word has been read, misunderstood, misused, and has led many to corrupt lives, for it has been said that even the devil can cite Scripture for his own purpose. Your people must understand that Spiritual things are Spiritually discerned only to those who open their hearts to receive them, and whose mind and spirit can be nourished enough to become full from it.

Eternal Father, I pray that You will open the minds, ears, hearts, and spirit of Your people, so that they may receive the understanding that the Holy Spirit brings to all who seek truth, all who need instructions, all who need Your light for support and comfort. That You will keep them in Your Hands, as they learn to stand firm in Your promises, as they wait for everything to be unified in Christ. Teach them how to bring honor and glory to your name every day of their lives. Amen.

Eternal father, I pray that those who learn your word will be blessed with wisdom, as they read and inwardly digest the truth that you reveal. Father, I pray that they will receive strength, patience, and comfort from Your Holy Word, as they embrace and hold fast to the hope of everlasting life which was given through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
